Today we decided as a class on our Room 1 Blogging Rules.
Blogging is a very public activity. Anything that gets posted on the internet stays there where anyone can access it from anywhere in the world. We want to keep safe and happy when we are online so we have set some rules.
It is really important we all follow these rules because they are designed to keep us safe while we are online!
These are our rules...
We will:
- Only use our FIRST NAME on the blog.
- Only use SENSIBLE and KIND words.
- Not write any of our PERSONAL DETAILS on our blog - Don’t share anything that you don’t want the world to know -this includes phone numbers, personal email address, home address and family information.
- Only have our first name, work or photo on the blog if we have written PARENT PERMISSION.
- Only put nice PHOTOS of other people on. Before you put someone’s photo on check with that it’s OK with them and check that their parent has given permission for their photos to go online.
- Be RESPONSIBLE when using and writing on our blog.
- Get all posts on the blog CHECKED by the teacher before publishing
We also ask that...
parents and adults commenting only use their FIRST name or describe themselves as "John's Mum" (for example) so they don't identify their child
All comments on our blog are also "moderated" by the teacher first. This means she checks them and they have to be approved by her before they go onto our blog.
If you have any other questions about the security of our blog, please contact the teacher.

THANKS FOR LEAVING A COMMENT ON OUR BLOG!!
All comments are moderated by our teacher before being published online.
Please write your comment and then choose 'Name/URL' from the drop down menu where it says "comment as" when leaving your comment below, then write your FIRST name. It is against our blogging guidelines to include last names, so we ask that you abide by this also please. Parents, please use your first name to comment, or identify yourself as "John's Mum" etc.
We'd also love to know where in the world you come from if you are a new visitor.
THANKS, FROM ROOM 1 & Miss Yelchich :)
